Frequently Asked Questions
How do I begin attending physical therapy at Quantum?
Texas is not a direct access state, so you must first obtain a prescription/referral for physical therapy from a physician. If you recently visited your doctor and have a prescription/referral just bring it with you to your initial evaluation. The referral/prescription does NOT have to be specifically for Quantum--any referral for physical therapy can be accepted at any clinic. If you do not have your referral on hand, then please contact your referring doctor’s office to have them fax it to us at 512-383-5707.
What do I bring for my first physical therapy visit?
Bring your physical therapy referral, and comfortable clothing (see below). What should I wear to physical therapy? Please, wear clothing that is comfortable and allows for ease of movement. Whether it is exercise or manual therapy - it is important that range of motion not be impeded by clothing. |

Yes. Each patient remains with the same Physical Therapist for the duration of their rehab. Will I be given home exercises to supplement my Physical Therapy treatment? Yes.
